‘Medical tourism’ emerging as unique benefit

A new employee benefit trend is challenging some sensitive beliefs that the United States has the best health care on earth, and that high quality medical care is not available overseas.

Already, enough Americans are intrigued by the prospect of seeking care outside U.S. soil that a cottage industry appears to be building around this premise under both the worksite-marketing and employer-paid umbrellas.
